Definitions.

344.010. As used in this chapter the following words or phrases mean:

(1) "Board", the Missouri board of nursing home administrators;

(2) "Long-term care facility", any residential care facility, assistedliving facility, intermediate care facility or skilled nursing facility, asdefined in section 198.006, RSMo, or similar facility licensed by states otherthan Missouri;

(3) "Nursing home", any institution or facility defined as an assistedliving facility, intermediate care facility, or skilled nursing facility forlicensing purposes by section 198.006, RSMo, whether proprietary or nonprofit;

(4) "Nursing home administrator", a person who administers, manages,supervises, or is in general administrative charge of a nursing home, whethersuch individual has an ownership interest in the home, and whether hisfunctions and duties are shared with one or more individuals.
