Effective dates of filing of documents--delayed effective date.

351.048. 1. Except as provided in subsection 2 of thissection and subsection 3 of section 351.049, a document acceptedfor filing is effective:

(1) On the date it is filed, as evidenced by the secretaryof state's date endorsement on the original document; or

(2) At the date specified in the document as its effectivedate when it is filed.

2. A document may specify a delayed effective date, and ifit does so the document becomes effective at the date specified.A delayed effective date for a document may not be later than theninetieth day after the date it is filed.
