Resignation of registered agent of foreign corporation.

351.592. 1. The registered agent of a foreign corporation may resignhis agency appointment by signing and delivering to the secretary of statefor filing the original and two exact or conformed copies of a statement ofresignation. The statement of resignation may include a statement that theregistered office is also discontinued.

2. After filing the statement, the secretary of state shall attachthe filing receipt to one copy, and mail the copy and receipt to theregistered office if not discontinued. The secretary of state shall mailthe other copy to the foreign corporation at its principal office addressshown in its most recent corporate registration report.

3. The agency appointment is terminated, and the registered officediscontinued if so provided, on the thirty-first day after the date onwhich the statement was filed.
