City may acquire, clear, convey or lease property for use inredevelopment project.

353.170. Any city subject to this chapter shall have power:

(1) To acquire by the exercise of the power of eminentdomain, or otherwise, an area designated on a master plan underthe authority of the legislative authority of the city as aredevelopment area;

(2) To clear any such real property and install, construct,and reconstruct streets, utilities and any and all other cityimprovements necessary for the preparation of such area for usein accordance with the provisions of this chapter; and

(3) To sell or lease such real property for use inaccordance with the provisions of this chapter.
