Laws regulating insurance or health service corporations not toapply, exceptions.

354.505. 1. Provisions of the insurance law and provisions of healthservices corporation laws shall not be applicable to any health maintenanceorganization granted a certificate of authority under sections 354.400 to354.636 unless made specifically applicable by statute. This provisionshall not apply to an insurer or health services corporation licensed andregulated pursuant to the insurance laws of the health services corporationlaws of this state except with respect to its health maintenanceorganization activities authorized and regulated pursuant to sections354.400 to 354.636.

2. Solicitation of enrollees by a health maintenance organizationgranted a certificate of authority, or its duly authorized representatives,shall not be construed to violate any provision of law relating tosolicitation or advertising by health professionals.
