Powers of division.

361.020. 1. The division of finance shall have charge ofthe execution of the laws relating to banks, trust companies, andthe banking business of this state; credit unions; and of thelaws relating to persons, copartnerships and corporations engagedin the small loan business in this state.

2. The director of finance may institute, in the name of thestate of Missouri, and defend suits in the courts of this stateand the United States.
