Jurisdiction of state courts for all civil actions--nonresident toappoint secretary of state as agent for service.

367.051. The sale or pledge of tangible personal property by anyperson shall be deemed:

(1) An agreement by the person who sells or pledges that the personshall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state in allcivil actions and proceedings, arising out of the pledge or saletransaction, filed either by a resident or nonresident plaintiff;

(2) An appointment by any nonresident of the secretary of state asthe person's lawful attorney and agent upon whom may be served all processin suits pertaining to the actions and proceedings arising out of thepledge or sale; and

(3) An agreement by any nonresident that any process in any suit soserved shall be of the same legal force and validity as if personallyserved in this state.
