Change of name by foreign or alien company, application for amendedcertificate, how made.

375.841. 1. In the event that a foreign or alien insurancecompany authorized to transact business in this state changes itsname or desires to transact in this state kinds of business otherthan those it is then authorized to transact, it shall file withthe director an application for an amended certificate ofauthority.

2. The application shall comply as to form and manner ofexecution with the requirements of this chapter for an originalapplication and shall set forth the name of the company, therespects in which the company desires its certificate ofauthority amended, and such other information as is necessary orappropriate to enable the director to determine whether anamended certificate of authority should be issued.

3. The director shall issue the amended certificate if he issatisfied that:

(1) The company might lawfully be authorized to transact thekinds of business it desires to transact if application forauthority were made in an original application; and

(2) The conditions provided for in section 375.821 arecomplied with.
