Who may form company--purposes.

376.010. Any number of persons, not less than thirteen, mayassociate and form a company for the purpose of making insuranceupon the lives of individuals, and every assurance pertainingthereto or connected therewith, and to grant, purchase anddispose of annuities and endowments of every kind and descriptionwhatsoever, and to provide an indemnity against death, and forweekly or other periodic indemnity for disability occasioned byaccident or sickness to the person of the insured; but suchaccident and health insurance shall be made a separate departmentof the business of the life insurance company undertaking it.
