Requirements for transaction of business.

376.1502. 1. It is unlawful to transact business in this state as adiscount medical plan organization, unless the organization is acorporation, limited liability corporation, partnership, limited liabilitypartnership or other legal entity organized under the laws of this stateor, if a foreign entity, authorized to transact business in this state, andis registered as a discount medical plan organization with the director orduly authorized by the director as an insurance company, licensed healthmaintenance organization, licensed group health service organization, orlicensed third-party administrator.

2. An individual person, employee, or agent of a registered entitydescribed in subsection 1 of this section may also transact business inthis state on behalf of such entity.
