Certificates issued jointly or severally.

388.160. Any two or more persons may unite in theirsubscriptions so as to make the same joint as well as several,and have the certificates of stock issued thereon to themjointly; but in the absence of express agreement to the contrary,all subscriptions shall be several and not joint, and may be suedupon severally in any court of competent jurisdiction, withoutfiling the original subscription list as an exhibit in the cause.
