Correct record of certificates issued to be kept--shall show what.

388.180. Every railroad company taking subscriptions underthis chapter shall keep in its principal office in this state,open to inspection, a correct record of all such certificates ofstock issued by them or their assignor or predecessor, showingthe number, date, and to whom issued, and when canceled; and itshall be the duty of the county clerk, upon production by suchcompany of any such canceled certificate, to note the fact anddate of such cancellation in his office.
