Title to school lands, how acquired.

388.400. In all cases when it becomes necessary for anyrailroad company to acquire title to any unsold sixteenthsection, or other school lands, required for the purposes of theincorporation, it shall be lawful in proceedings instituted bysuch railroad company to acquire title thereto, to notify thecounty school superintendent of the county in which such land, orthe greater part thereof, is situate; or, if there be no suchsuperintendent qualified to act, then such notice may be servedupon the presiding commissioner of the county commission of thecounty in which such land, or the greater part thereof, issituate; and like proceedings shall be had as in other cases.
