Priority.

400.9-709. (a) This act determines the priority of conflictingclaims to collateral. However, if the relative priorities of the claimswere established before July 1, 2001, former article 9 determines priority.

(b) For purposes of section 400.9-322(a), the priority of a securityinterest that becomes enforceable under section 400.9-203 of this act datesfrom July 1, 2001, if the security interest is perfected under this act bythe filing of a financing statement before July 1, 2001, which would nothave been effective to perfect the security interest under former article9. This subsection does not apply to conflicting security interests eachof which is perfected by the filing of such a financing statement.
