426.070. The assignor, his agent or attorney, at the time ofthe execution of the deed of assignment, shall make a statement,in writing, verified by affidavit, setting forth the generalnature and full value of the estate and effects assigned, whichstatement shall be filed with the deed of assignment for record;and the assignee shall, within three days after the filing ofsuch deed and statement, give bond with at least two good andsufficient securities, to be approved by the court or judge, orclerk thereof in vacation, in double the amount of the estate andeffects assigned, and if the appraised value of such estate andeffects, when appraised, shall be greater than the value given insuch statement, or if the securities in such bond should in anyway become impaired or insufficient, the assignee shall, at thetime of filing the appraisement, give another bond with at leasttwo good and sufficient securities, to be approved by the courtor judge, or the clerk thereof in vacation, in double the amountof the appraised value of the estate and effects assigned.
