Sale proceeds--excess--insufficiency--violation of patent or copyrightprohibited--release of mold, when.

430.407. 1. If the sale is for a sum greater than theamount of the lien, any excess shall be paid to the customer andany prior lienholder. In the event that the proceeds of the saleare insufficient to satisfy the lien, the plastic fabricatorshall be entitled to a personal judgment for the deficiencyagainst the customer.

2. No sale shall be made under sections 430.400 to 430.407if it would be in violation of any right of a customer underfederal patent or copyright law, but the judge may order thecustomer to fully satisfy his indebtedness to the plasticfabricator prior to release of the mold to the customer.
