Representations of credit to be in writing.

432.040. No action shall be brought to charge any personupon or by reason of any representation or assurance madeconcerning the character, conduct, credit, ability, trade ordealings of any other person, unless such representation orassurance be made in writing, and subscribed by the party to becharged thereby, or by some person thereunto by him lawfullyauthorized.
