Acknowledgment of instruments not affectinglands--certificate--curative provision.

442.155. 1. All officers within or without the state ofMissouri now by the laws of this state authorized to take theproof or acknowledgment of any conveyance or other instrument inwriting affecting real estate, shall have the power to take theproof or acknowledgment of any instrument in writing.

2. The certificate of the proof or acknowledgment shall bethe same as now provided by law for the certificate of proof ofacknowledgment to conveyances or other instruments in writingaffecting real estate.

3. Any such proof or acknowledgment heretofore taken by anysuch officer of any instrument in writing not affecting realestate and which proof or acknowledgment was taken in conformitywith the then existing law providing for the proof oracknowledgment of conveyances or other instruments in writingaffecting real estate, are hereby validated and legalized for allpurposes from and after the effective date of this section. Itshall not be necessary to rerecord any such instrument.
