Penalty for failing to acknowledge satisfaction and deliver deed ofrelease.

443.170. If such personal representative, upon satisfactoryproof produced to the personal representative of the payment ofsuch indebtedness to the decedent, does not, within thirty daysafter request and tender of expenses, deliver to the personowning the property a sufficient deed of release, the personalrepresentative shall personally forfeit to the party aggrievedten percent of the amount of the security instrument, absolutely,and any other damages such aggrieved party may be able to provesuch party has sustained, to be recovered in any court ofcompetent jurisdiction.
