Penalty for overcharging.

443.370. Any person taking a larger compensation for hisservices, as aforesaid, shall be liable to any party interestedin such writing, instrument or deed, in a sum double the amounttaken for such services, recoverable by a suit in a court ofcompetent jurisdiction.
