Reports--payment or delivery of property, failure to make--falsestatements in report--penalties.

447.577. 1. Any person who intentionally fails to render any reportor perform other duties required pursuant to sections 447.500 to 447.595may be assessed a penalty of five percent of the total value of theproperty at issue, but not less than one hundred dollars, for each monththe report is not filed or duty not performed, up to twenty-five percent ofthe total value of the property at issue. Any penalty imposed pursuant tothis subsection shall be in lieu of, and not in addition to, otherpenalties established pursuant to sections 447.500 to 447.595.

2. Any person who intentionally refuses to pay or deliver abandonedproperty as required pursuant to sections 447.500 to 447.595 may beassessed a penalty of not less than one hundred dollars per day, not toexceed a maximum of ten thousand dollars, and shall be guilty of a class Amisdemeanor.

3. Any person who intentionally makes a false statement in any reportrequired pursuant to sections 447.500 to 447.595 may be fined not less thanone hundred dollars nor more than ten thousand dollars and shall be guiltyof a class B misdemeanor.
