Subdivision of units.

448.2-113. 1. If the declaration expressly so permits, aunit may be subdivided into two or more units. Subject to theprovisions of the declaration and other provisions of law, uponapplication of a unit owner to subdivide a unit, the associationshall prepare or cause to be prepared, execute, and record anamendment to the declaration, including the plats, subdividingthat unit.

2. The amendment to the declaration shall be executed by theowner of the unit to be subdivided, shall assign an identifyingnumber to each unit created, and shall reallocate the allocatedinterests formerly allocated to the subdivided unit to the newunits in any reasonable manner prescribed by the owner of thesubdivided unit.
