International application of act.

452.720. 1. A court of this state shall treat a foreign country as astate of the United States for purposes of applying sections 452.700 to452.785.

2. A child custody determination made in a foreign country underfactual circumstances in substantial conformity with the jurisdictionalstandards of sections 452.700 to 452.930 shall be recognized and enforcedunder sections 452.850 to 452.915.

3. The court need not apply the provisions of sections 452.700 to452.930 when the child custody law of the other country violatesfundamental principles of human rights.
