455.230. 1. A shelter for victims of domestic violence that receivesfunds pursuant to sections 455.200 to 455.230 shall file an annual reportwith the designated authority of the county, or of the city not within acounty, in which it is located, on or before the thirty-first day of Marchof the year following the year in which funds were received. The annualreport shall include statistics on the number of persons served by theshelter, the relationship of the victim of domestic violence to the abuser,the number of referrals made for medical, psychological, financial,educational, vocational, child care services or legal services, and shallinclude the results of an independent audit. No information contained inthe report shall identify any person served by the shelter or enable anyperson to determine the identity of any such person. Any informationcontained in the report that is directly related to advocacy servicesprovided by the shelter shall not be construed as a violation of section455.220. Any shelter for victims of domestic violence as defined in thischapter may apply to the department of public safety for a grant to providefunds for the renovation, construction and improvement of such shelter on a75/25 state/local match rate, subject to appropriation.
2. The designated authority shall compile the reports filed pursuantto subsection 1 of this section annually.
3. In addition to any shelter funded under said section, subject toappropriation, the department of social services shall fund a childassessment center to serve the needs of children from families in conflictand from domestic violence to be located in any county of the firstclassification without a charter form of government with a population ofmore than one hundred sixty thousand but less than two hundred thousand.
