Determination of qualification of interpreter.

476.756. No qualified interpreter shall be appointed orauxiliary aids and services provided, pursuant to section476.753, unless the designated responsible authority and the deafperson make a preliminary determination that the qualifiedinterpreter or auxiliary aids and services are able to interpreteffectively, accurately and impartially the statement of the deafperson and interpret the proceedings effectively, accurately andimpartially to the deaf person.
