Compensation of supreme court and appellate judges--practice of lawprohibited--practice before supreme court prohibited, when.

477.130. 1. Each judge of the supreme court of Missourishall receive an annual salary of ninety-one thousand fivehundred and ninety-four dollars plus any salary adjustmentprovided after August 28, 1990, pursuant to section 476.405,RSMo. Each judge of the court of appeals shall receive an annualsalary of eighty-five thousand five hundred dollars plus anysalary adjustment provided after August 28, 1990, pursuant tosection 476.405, RSMo. In addition thereto, each of the judges,when temporarily serving, transferred or assigned as a judge ofanother court than the one to which he was appointed or elected,shall be reimbursed for his actual and necessary travel and otherexpenses incurred in the performance of such temporary duty. Thechief justice of the supreme court shall receive as additionalcompensation the amount of two thousand five hundred dollars peryear.

2. The salaries and expenses shall be paid out of the statetreasury and shall constitute the total compensation for allduties performed by, and all expenses of, the judges, and thereshall be no further payment made to or accepted by them for theperformance of any duties required to be performed by them asjudges under the law.

3. The judges shall not practice law or do law business norshall they accept, during their terms of office, any publicappointment or employment for which they receive compensation fortheir services. Further, any judge who resigns or retires fromthe supreme court is prohibited from practicing before thesupreme court for twenty-four months following the effective dateof such resignation or retirement.

4. The expenses provided for in this section shall be paidout of the state treasury upon the certification by the judges sotransferred or assigned.
