Notary public, how appointed.

486.205. Upon application, the secretary of state mayappoint and commission individual persons as notaries public* ineach of the several counties in this state. The secretary ofstate may not appoint and commission as a notary public anyperson who submits an application containing substantial andmaterial misstatement or omission of fact.
