Commission to be issued, when--contents.

486.230. Upon receipt of a completed application, properendorsements and the correct fee, the secretary of state, ifsatisfied the applicant is qualified to be appointed andcommissioned as a notary public, shall prepare a notarycommission for the applicant and forward the commission to thecounty clerk in the county of the applicant's residence. Eachcommission shall contain the applicant's name, the county withinand for which he is to be commissioned, the date upon which thecommission takes effect and the date upon which it expires.
