486.265. Every notary shall keep a true and perfect record of his orher official acts in a permanently bound journal, except those connectedwith judicial proceedings, and those for whose public record the lawprovides and the public record as defined in section 610.010, RSMo, ispublicly filed within ninety days of execution. Every notary shall makeand keep an exact minute, in a permanently bound journal kept by him or herfor that purpose, of each of his or her official acts, except as hereinprovided. The journal is the exclusive property of the notary.
