486.370. 1. A notary public who knowingly and willfullycommits any official misconduct is guilty of a misdemeanor and ispunishable upon conviction by a fine not exceeding five hundreddollars or by imprisonment for not more than six months or both.
2. A notary public who recklessly or negligently commits anyofficial misconduct is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishableupon conviction by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars.
