492.040. Whenever the court or officer by whom any person isabout to be sworn shall be satisfied that such person has anypeculiar mode of swearing connected with or in addition to theusual form of administering oaths, which is to him of more solemnand binding obligation, the court or officer shall adopt thatmode which shall appear to be most binding on the conscience ofthe person to be sworn.
