Commissioners of foreign courts may compel attendance of witnesses.

492.100. Commissioners appointed by any other state, or anyof the territories of the United States, or the District ofColumbia, for the purpose of taking depositions and affidavits,and the acknowledgments of deeds, powers of attorney and otherinstruments of writing, and residing in this state, shall havethe same power to compel the attendance of witnesses in thetaking of depositions and the proof of deeds, and in all othercases where it may be necessary in the discharge of the duties oftheir office, as is now given by law to any court of record inthis state, in compelling the attendance of witnesses before suchcourt.
