Service, how made.

506.340. Service shall be made by mailing a copy of theoriginal summons to the secretary of state, and such serviceshall be sufficient; provided that a copy of the service shall beforthwith sent by registered mail to the defendant and thedefendant's return receipt and an affidavit of plaintiff or hisattorney as to compliance herewith are filed in this action.
