Private statutes, averments--laws of other states--judicial notice.

509.220. 1. In pleading a private statute or a rightderived therefrom, it shall be sufficient to refer to suchstatute by its title and the place where found in the sessionacts or in the revised statutes, and the court shall thereupontake judicial notice thereof.

2. In every action or proceeding wherein the pleading statesthat the law of another state is relied upon, the courts of thisstate shall take judicial notice of the public statutes andjudicial decisions of said state.
