Appeals, stay of proceedings granted, when.

511.785. If the defendant satisfies the court either that anappeal is pending or that he is entitled and intends to appealfrom the foreign country judgment, the court may stay theproceedings until the appeal has been determined or until theexpiration of a period of time sufficient to enable the defendantto prosecute the appeal.
