In all cases where the time of holding the terms ofthe several courts of this state shall be changed by thelegislature, all sales of property which would have been made atthe terms previously established by law, shall be made at thefirst term of the court held in pursuance of such change; andwhere such sales have been advertised to be made on any day ofsuch previously established term, to satisfy any executionreturnable thereto, or in obedience to any order or decree ofsaid court, the sale shall be made on the same day of the termheld in pursuance of the change aforesaid; and no secondadvertisement of such sale shall be necessary, but it shall bethe duty of the sheriff or other officer having in charge theexecution or order aforesaid, to put up at the front door of thecourthouse of the proper county, on or before the first day ofthe changed term, a list of the property to be sold, specifyingthe names of the parties, the property to be sold, and the day ofsale, and stating the fact that said property has been previouslyadvertised, giving the name of the paper and its date.
