Garnishee may discharge himself, how.

525.070. Whenever any property, effects, money or debts, belonging orowing to the defendant, shall be confessed, or found by the court or jury,to be in the hands of the garnishee, the garnishee may, at any time beforefinal judgment, discharge himself, by paying or delivering the same, or somuch thereof as the court shall order, to the sheriff or to the court, fromall further liability on account of the property, money or debts so paid ordelivered.
