Party claiming proceeds of sale may proceed, how.

528.480. Any party to the proceeding in partition claimingsuch moneys as owner of the premises sold may file his petitionin the office of the clerk of the court, setting forth the natureof his claim in all its particulars, and the name and residence,if known, of the other party claiming as aforesaid, and prayingan order for the payment of the money to him; which petitionshall be verified by the affidavit of the petitioner or somecredible person.
