A day to be set for hearing the cause.

532.310. Upon the return of the writ of habeas corpus, a dayshall be set for the hearing of the cause of imprisonment orrestraint, not exceeding five days thereafter, unless theprisoner shall request a longer time; or the court or officer mayproceed to such hearing immediately, as the circumstances of thecase may require.
