Action against mining operator for wrongful death ofemployee--amount--limitation.

537.230. Whenever any cause of action shall accrue to anyagent or servant of any person, company or corporation operatinga mine or mines in this state under sections 537.180 to 537.210,and death shall ensue to such agent or servant by reason of thenegligence provided for in said sections, the cause of actionshall survive in favor of the widow and minor children of thedeceased; provided, that action therefor shall be brought by thewidow within six months after such death, and if she shall failto bring such action then within twelve months after such deathby such minor children; and provided further, that recovery incase of such death shall not exceed the sum of ten thousanddollars.
