547.330. In all cases where the conviction of a defendant isaffirmed on appeal or the appeal is dismissed or withdrawn andthe defendant is to be imprisoned in any jail or by thedepartment of corrections, the court affirming or dismissing theappeal or in which the appeal is withdrawn shall direct thesentence pronounced to be executed, and for this purpose thecourt shall order the marshal of the court to arrest the convict,and deliver him to the proper official. In its discretion thecourt may order the marshal to arrest the convict prior to thedate the opinion of the court affirming the judgment in the causeis made public.
