Private entities to make application to circuit court to providemisdemeanor probation--contract content--procedure--withdrawal ofboard, when.

559.602. A private entity seeking to provide probationsupervision and rehabilitation services to misdemeanor offendersshall make timely written application to the judges in a circuit.When approved by the judges of a circuit, the application, thejudicial order of approval and the contract shall be forwarded tothe board of probation and parole. The contract shall containthe responsibilities of the private entity, including theoffenses for which persons will be supervised. The board maythen withdraw supervision of misdemeanor offenders which are tobe supervised by the court-approved private entity in thatcircuit.
