Unauthorized recording for profit prohibited.

570.226. No person shall, without the consent of the owner,transfer or cause to be transferred to any phonograph record,disc, wire, tape, film, videocassette, or other article or mediumnow known or later developed on which sounds or images arerecorded or otherwise stored, any performance whether live beforean audience or transmitted by wire or through the air by radio ortelevision, with the intent to sell or cause to be sold forprofit.
