Concealing an offense.

575.020. 1. A person commits the crime of concealing anoffense if:

(1) He confers or agrees to confer any pecuniary benefit orother consideration to any person in consideration of thatperson's concealing of any offense, refraining from initiating oraiding in the prosecution of an offense, or withholding anyevidence thereof; or

(2) He accepts or agrees to accept any pecuniary benefit orother consideration in consideration of his concealing anyoffense, refraining from initiating or aiding in the prosecutionof an offense, or withholding any evidence thereof.

2. Concealing an offense is a class D felony if the offenseconcealed is a felony; otherwise concealing an offense is a classA misdemeanor.
