Peace officer standards and training commission fund established.

590.178. 1. There is hereby created in the state treasurythe "Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission Fund". Thepeace officer standards and training commission fund shall beadministered by the peace officer standards and trainingcommission. Money in the fund shall be used solely for trainingrequired as provided in sections 590.100 to 590.180, or foradditional training for peace officers or for training for otherlaw enforcement employees appointed by the county or municipalityas approved by the commission. All interest earned upon moneysin the fund shall be credited to the peace officer standards andtraining commission fund.

2. The provisions of section 33.080, RSMo, to the contrarynotwithstanding, moneys in the peace officer standards andtraining fund shall not be transferred and placed to the creditof the general revenue fund.
