Selection of team members--factors, provision of productivityassessment.

620.1028. 1. The department of economic development may directlycontract with regional, not-for-profit organizations to work with regionaloffices of the department and with businesses located within respectiveregions to help with the selection of team members and in the selection ofconsultants to perform feasibility studies and productivity assessments.

2. The following factors shall be considered by a business extensionservice team in determining whether or not to recommend the provision of aproductivity assessment or feasibility study to a business:

(1) The potential viability of the business;

(2) The commitment of management and labor to jointly participate in aproductivity improvement program; and

(3) The potential for job retention and advancement of the business'sexisting employees.
