Definitions.

620.470. As used in sections 620.470 to 620.481, unless the contextclearly requires otherwise, the following terms mean:

(1) "Department", the Missouri department of economic development;

(2) "Fund", the Missouri job development fund as established bysection 620.478;

(3) "Industry", an entity the objective of which is to supply aservice or the objective of which is the commercial production and sale ofan article of trade or commerce. The term includes a consortium of suchentities organized for the purpose of providing for common training to themember entities' employees, provided that the consortium as a whole meetsthe requirements for participation in this program;

(4) "Manufacturing", the making or processing of raw materials into afinished product, especially by means of large-scale machines of industry.
