Destruction of obsolete structures--procedure.

630.525. If any major building standing on property underthe supervision and control of the department is in such a stateof dilapidation or disrepair as to be, in the opinion of thedirector, dangerous to patients or residents, employees of thedepartment or other persons frequenting such property, thedepartment may, with the approval of the division of design andconstruction and, if necessary, with appropriations for thispurpose from the general assembly, cause such building to be torndown or razed. For such purpose, the department may contractwith any person under the rules and regulations of the divisionof purchasing, and may sell or otherwise dispose of the materialscomposing such building.
