Definitions.

631.005. In addition to the definitions in section 632.005,RSMo, which are applicable to this chapter, the following termsas used in this chapter mean:

(1) "Alcohol or drug abuse facility", a place providingtreatment and rehabilitation to persons engaged in alcohol ordrug abuse, or both, which is recognized as such a place by thedepartment of mental health;

(2) "Division", the division of alcohol and drug abuse ofthe department of mental health;

(3) "Division director", the director of the division ofalcohol and drug abuse of the department of mental health, or hisdesignee;

(4) "Qualified counselor", a person who provides substanceabuse counseling and who meets the qualifications prescribed inthe standards for certification of alcohol and drug abuseprograms under rules promulgated by the department of mentalhealth, as authorized by sections 630.050 and 630.655, RSMo;

(5) "Respondent", an individual who is the subject ofinvoluntary civil detention proceedings instituted under thischapter.
