631.050. Any residential facility, day program orspecialized service operated or funded by the department shallincorporate the following standards into its policies foraccepting persons affected by alcohol or drug abuse for treatmentor rehabilitation:

(1) A person shall, if possible, be treated on a voluntaryrather than on an involuntary basis;

(2) A person shall be initially assigned or transferred tooutpatient or intermediate treatment, unless he is found torequire inpatient treatment;

(3) A person shall not be denied treatment solely because hehas withdrawn from treatment against medical advice on a prioroccasion or because he has relapsed after earlier treatment;

(4) An individualized rehabilitation plan shall be preparedand maintained on a current basis for each patient;

(5) Provisions shall be made for a continuum of coordinatedtreatment or rehabilitation services so that a person who leavesa facility or a form of treatment or rehabilitation will haveavailable and may utilize other appropriate treatment.
